Spring at Bloom HQ – A New Country Garden Collection.
It has been a busy start to the year here at Bloom HQ, with lots of spring flowers slowly appearing across the craft table.
After the quiet winter months, it always feels lovely to start working with brighter colours again. Daffodils, daisies, roses and tulips have been taking shape in felt, bringing a little bit of spring indoors while the weather outside is still deciding what it wants to do.
Over the past few weeks I have been working on a new collection inspired by the soft colours and gentle charm of a country garden. This collection includes handmade felt posy bouquets, floral bottle arrangements and some sweet bunny wreaths that are perfect for spring and Easter decorating.
Each piece is made by hand from felt, with every flower cut, shaped and assembled individually. I love the process of watching the flowers slowly build into arrangements, from a few loose petals on the table to a finished bouquet or wreath.
One of my favourite pieces in the collection is the little bottle arrangements. These feature small glass bottles set into a wooden holder and filled with tiny felt flowers. They look lovely on a shelf or windowsill and are a simple way to add a little colour to a room.
The bunny wreaths were also a fun addition to make. Using a wire bunny frame, I added clusters of felt flowers and leafy stems to create cheerful spring decorations that bring a soft cottage garden feel to doors or walls.
Alongside making for the new collection, I have also been busy with orders. A pansy garland recently went off to a returning customer, and several daffodil pieces have been heading out into the world too, which is always lovely to see.
I also managed to get along to a local craft and chat group recently, which was a nice change of scenery and a chance to do some flower making while catching up with other creative people. It’s always inspiring to see what others are working on.
The new Country Garden collection is now available in my shop, and I hope these little felt flowers bring a touch of spring into your home.
Catch up soon,
Fran x
