Behind the Blooms: A January Reset at The Felt Petal Shop
Behind the Blooms: A January Reset at The Felt Petal Shop
Bloom HQ is officially back in action, and goodness, we’ve hit the ground running… in snow boots.
While the world outside has turned frosty white, inside my little craft corner it looks like a rainbow has exploded (in a very organised way, thanks to the new drawer dividers). Felt balls sorted into perfect little colour gardens, stacks of new felt sheets fresh from the postman, and a whole line of garlands waiting to bloom into life.
This month has already brought some lovely surprises — orders travelling off to the USA, Australia, and closer to home too. There’s a special kind of magic in packing something you made with your own hands and knowing it’s about to become part of someone else’s home. It never gets old.
And… a huge milestone this week: my Rambling Rose garland finally found its forever home! I may or may not have done a little dance in the kitchen. (Charlie the dog judged me. Milo tried to join in. Lola rolled her eyes.)
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’ve begun planning and prepping those pretty pinks, reds, and romantic florals — and I’ll be sharing sneaky peeks as things take shape. Winter may be chilly, but the studio is full of warm colours and new energy. I can’t wait to show you what’s growing next.
So here’s to new beginnings, colourful messes, and creativity that keeps us cosy through the cold days.
Thanks for being here, for supporting handmade, and for cheering on every petal, pince-nez, and pom-pom in progress.
